WaitBee ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website at waitbee.com and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

Account Information

When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store this information to identify your account.

Waitlist Data

When visitors sign up on a waitlist page you created, we collect their email address, name (if provided), referral source, UTM parameters, approximate country (from IP), and browser user agent. This data is stored on your behalf and accessible from your dashboard.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, and performance metrics. We may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to help us understand how our service is used.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our service
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To process waitlist signups on your pages
  • To send transactional emails (signup notifications, milestone alerts)
  • To respond to customer support requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers: hosting (Google Cloud Platform), payment processing (Lemon Squeezy), email delivery, and analytics services that help us operate

Your data is stored on servers hosted by Google Cloud Platform in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), encrypted data at rest, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Waitlist signup data is retained for as long as the associated waitlist exists. You can delete your waitlists and their associated data at any time from your dashboard. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Export your waitlist signups as CSV
  • Delete your waitlists and associated data
  • Close your account and have your data deleted

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability, rectification, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as dark/light theme). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Third-party analytics services may set their own cookies.

8. Children

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending an email.
